Bérengère BOUDEAU is a European and French Patent Attorney, and a UPC Representative. She holds an engineering degree from the École de Biologie Industrielle and from the CEIPI (Patents). She is an expert in the fields of biotechnology, gene therapy, immunotherapy, and biochemistry.
Bérengère began her career in Intellectual Property in 2015 as a patent attorney in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries (Guerbet, L’Oréal). She then joined Généthon, working specifically within their Intellectual Property department.
She continued to build her expertise by working with prestigious French Intellectual Property firms, where she supported both SMEs and large corporations in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors with their innovation strategies. She also helped develop strategies for obtaining Supplementary Protection Certificates (SPCs).
In 2023, she took a significant step forward in her career by joining ICOSA as Deputy Head of the Biology/Biotech/Techbio department.
Bérengère assists startups and SMEs with drafting patent applications, managing procedures before the INPI (French Patent Office) and the EPO (European Patent Office), analyzing patentability, and conducting freedom-to-operate assessments.
She has also contributed to the writing of an article on the patentability of antibodies in Europe.
