Emilie Blanche graduated as a Chemical Engineer from the European School of Chemistry, Polymers and Materials in Strasbourg (France) and obtained a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Exeter (United Kingdom), where she worked on the synthesis of anti-cancer compounds.
She began her career in R&D within several startups and biotech companies, focusing on in vitro diagnostics and drug discovery, particularly in the fields of antivirals, neurodegenerative diseases, and diabetes.
Driven by a passion for intellectual property, she transitioned to patent practice in 2016 and went on to head the patent department of a renowned Belgian firm in 2019, before joining ICOSA in 2024.
