Franck Tetaz is a European and Frenc Patent Attorney, and UPC Representative.
Holding a PhD in Chemistry from Joseph Fourier University in Grenoble, Franck began his career in Intellectual Property at the European Patent Office (EPO) as a Patent Examiner. He is also graduated from the CEIPI (Patents).
With a robust 30-year track record, Franck has worked both in private practice and in industry. Notably, he served as Head of the Patent Department at Aventis CropSciences in Lyon, where he was responsible for patent matters in the field of biotechnology. In that role, he successfully led several patent litigations in the United States.
In 2003, Franck established and developed the Lyon office of a prestigious French IP firm, supporting the growth of innovative SMEs in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
In 2014, he launched his own IP Firm, Franck Tetaz Intellectual Property. Then in 2018, he co-founded the BCF Global alliance, in collaboration with Law Tech Law (Lyon) and BCF Law Firm (Montreal). This alliance provides cross-border IP services across Europe and North America, with professionals qualified to operate in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and France.
He also teaches U.S. Patent Law at the Paul Roubier Center.
In June 2023, Franck Tetaz joined ICOSA as a Consultant and Partner.
