Guillaume Carel is a European and Belgian Patent Attorney.

Holding a PhD in Chemistry, Guillaume completed his doctoral thesis on the synthesis of sulfur- and oxygen-containing macrocyclic ethers, as well as the study of their coordination properties toward cations, at the Laboratoire Hétérochimie Fondamentale et Appliquée (LHFA) in Toulouse.

A graduate in Chemical Engineering from the École Nationale Supérieure des Ingénieurs en Arts Chimiques et Technologiques (ENSIACET) in Toulouse, he also holds a Master’s Degree in Chemistry for Life Sciences from Université Paul Sabatier, Toulouse III, and is graduated from the CEIPI (Patents, Trademarks & Designs).

Guillaume has strong expertise in organic chemistry, organometallic chemistry, catalysis, and analytical chemistry. He joined ICOSA in 2015 as a patent engineer in the Chemistry team, working on patent drafting and prosecution up to the granting of intellectual property rights.
