Juliette Uzan, a graduate of Université Paris-Sud XI/Paris I with a master’s degree in Law of technical innovation, is a Legal counsel specialized in contracts and Head of ICOSA’s Contracts department.

Juliette is an expert in Intellectual Property valorization and the negotiation of related contractual aspects. She previously served as Deputy Head of the agreements, Intellectual Property and valorization Unit within the legal affairs department of CNRS, where she contributed to the strategic management of agreements and maximized the valorization of intangible assets.

Since 2018, she has also served as a reserve officer in the training, research, and innovation department of the French armed forces health service.

Juliette joined ICOSA’s Trademarks/Designs/Contracts department in 2023, where she advises clients on conducting contractual audits as well as drafting and renegotiating numerous strategic agreements to foster the valorization of their innovations.

Since March 2024, Juliette has been certified by the French Patent Office (INPI) for the PASS PI programs: “Securing relationships” (collaborative R&D contracts and/or public–private technology transfer agreements; contractual IP support) and “Managing litigation risks” (pre-litigation analysis and defense/attack strategies in IP, unfair competition, or parasitism).

Juliette’s team currently consists of two experienced legal counsels who draft, negotiate, and defend between 200 and 300 contracts for ICOSA’s clients.
