Mariangela MALERBA is a patent attorney.
She holds a PhD in Pathophysiology from Université Paris Cité. Her doctoral research focused on the role of hepcidin in skin pathophysiology and on the development of infectious and inflammatory murine models of the epidermis. She has expertise in microbiology, as well as in cellular and molecular biology.
She also worked as a researcher and project leader at ELIGO Bioscience, where she studied microbiome, host interactions and their immunological impact, with the aim of leveraging research to improve patient care.
Mariangela joined ICOSA in 2024 as part of the Biology/Biotech/Techbio department. She supports startups in drafting patent applications and managing prosecution procedures before the EPO and INPI.
