Mélanie PARISE is a European and French Patent Attorney. She has strong expertise in biotechnology, particularly in Molecular and Cellular Biology, Virology, and Immunology. She joined ICOSA’s Biotech/Biology/Techbio team in 2019.
She supports her clients in defining IP strategy and advises them on patentability and freedom-to-operate matters. Her work includes drafting patent applications, managing prosecution procedures, and preparing legal opinions.
A graduate of the École Normale Supérieure (ENS Ulm) and PhD holder in Microbiology–Virology, Mélanie completed her doctoral research on the mechanisms of action of TRIM cellular proteins and their interference with the HIV-1 and Adenovirus life cycles, conducted at the University of Oxford and the Cochin Institute.
She began her career at a major French Intellectual Property firm, where she gained ten years of experience before joining ICOSA.
