Marie Aufort-Marcadon is a European and French Patent Attorney in ICOSA’s Chemistry team.

She has strong expertise in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, analytical chemistry, and formulation. Marie joined ICOSA in 2011 as a patent engineer.

Holding a PhD in Chemistry, she defended her thesis on the development of radiopharmaceuticals for cancer imaging at the Chemistry for Life Sciences Laboratory at CEA Saclay (DSV/iBiTech-S/SIMOPRO). As a researcher at the Institut de Chimie des Substances Naturelles (ICSN), she developed contrast agents for targeted MRI imaging.

A graduate in Chemical Engineering from Chimie ParisTech (École Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Paris), she also holds a Master’s Degree in Chemistry and Physical Chemistry for Life Sciences from Chimie ParisTech and is graduated from the CEIPI (Patents).

She has extensive experience in drafting patent applications and managing patent examination procedures through to grant, as well as solid expertise in filing Supplementary Protection Certificate (SPC) applications.
